Student's Opinion about JMC

Who else can give a better picture of our college than its own students, on this page, we have listed some of the students who have shared their feelings and their experience with Jinnah Medical College. They are;

Raheem-ud-Din Barech Mohammed Alam Khan Talha Badar
Being from chagai. I completed my HSC in Quetta. I always thought that medical studies would be very tough and I wanted to become a Chartered Accountant. I was in karachi and I gave the entrance test for Jinnah Medical College, just for experience. I was selected after the test and interview and then needed to make a decision. My family back home encouraged my becoming a doctor since, as business executives, they appreciate diversity. My journey here as a medical student is going smooth. The faculty and my seniors as well as my colleagues are very cooperative. It is their politeness which has motivated me to continue with this career. Apart from this, i also enjoy the sports activities, the english class, and the tournaments, especially badminton. I hope that all JMC graduates are dedicated doctors who will help to uplift the status of health in Pakistan. Since childhood I have had an interest in the field of medicine. Also my community lacks a capable doctor. Now as a student of JInnah Medical College, it seems that both my dream as well as the need of my community will be fulfilled. JMC is an institute which has a mix of students from different backgrounds, so one never feels out of place being different. I am learning all I need to be a good community practitioner. Apart from basic subjects, JMC also teaches community medicine, behavorial sciences and communication skills, all neccessary to stand equal to international standards in medicine. In the beginning I felt that it would have been better to do medicine from a government college. Once I took admission in Jinnah Medical College, slowly and gradually, I felt like a part of this college. A college where one has the liberty to express oneself in a peaceful environment; where one can stay under the guidance of dedicated teachers. In studying medicine, it is not neccessary to be confined to books only. Active part shoud also be taken in extra curricular activities as long as a suitable balance is achieved between the two. At JMC, I have found that balance. All in all, my first year here has been an encouraging and enjoyable experience.
